Allergy Sufferer's Springtime Lament

Marvel at the springtime hues!
Behold the parrot's beak,
reminiscent of flame.
My once blue eyes,
feels like the same.

How grand is the spring?
Calceolaria, a beautiful name.
Puffy like pocketbooks, it's display.
The same as my glands,
at the end of a day!

Ah, the season of spring!
With nectar it flows.
As the weeping of milkweed,
attracts bees by the score.
Sinuses seeping has no allure.

What delight in the spring!
Birds singing, children laughing.
Oh, the fragrance and sounds.
Primrose gently popping,
and my head how it pounds!

Yes, springtime has sprung!
Sneezing and blessings over and over.
Imprisoned by pollen,
I gaze out and wonder.
Can summer come any slower?
